Purposes and Goals


Society Purposes:

  • To heighten public awareness of the environmental problems and solutions regarding soil vitality throughout the world.

  • To share information and educate the public about systems and methods for sustainable soil management and remediation.

  • To facilitate the making of biodynamic preparations for soil renewal and restoration.

  • To encourage the development and application of eco-sustainable techniques for home gardens, farms and forests locally and worldwide, which provide nutritious organic/biodynamic food.

Our goals for 2010 include:

We plan to expand our experiential education offerings in biodynamic and organic agriculture to reach a wide audience. Our goals for 2010 include:

  • Providing 5 one-day Introduction to Biodynamics workshops.

  • Providing 2 one-week intensive Biodynamic Preparation Making courses for farmers/gardeners who would like more in depth knowledge.

  • Preparing for and hosting apprentices under the new North American Biodynamic Apprenticeship Program (www.bdtraining.org/).

  • Establishing a bee sanctuary in a large old cedar stump, introducing the bees to their new home and observing their well-being.

  • Producing and applying biodynamic preparations. The whole experience of creating and using the preparations encourages people to be more aware of natural rhythms and processes.

  • Hosting educational/interpretive tours of C-Dar Lodge Farm for a variety of audiences.
